How to Make a Payment After a Card Replacement

If you’ve replaced your card after it was lost or stolen, your replacement card will have a new number, so you’ll need to update your payment information anywhere that you have it saved, such as in your bank app or with any subscription-based services (for example, streaming services).

If you make payments through your bank’s online banking site or app, be sure to replace your old 16-digit Capital One card number with your new one before making your next payment.

If you use your Capital One Mastercard® to make automatic recurring payments (for example, for your phone bill or gym membership), you’ll need to update your account information for those payments with your new card number. Reviewing your transactions in your Capital One online banking account can help you identify your recurring payments.
