How rewards earning works

As long as your Capital One rewards credit card remains in good standing, you’ll be able to earn and redeem rewards. To keep your account in good standing, pay at least the minimum payment each month, as indicated on your statement.

The rewards you earn depend on the type of card and rewards program you have.

Quicksilver World and World Elite Mastercard®

You’ll earn:

• 3% cash rewards on net purchases made at eligible grocery stores (excluding superstores like Walmart and Costco), gas stations and EV charging stations.
• 1% cash rewards on all other net purchases.

Smart Rewards™ Mastercard®

You’ll earn 5 points for every $1 in payment made towards your credit card balance. You can redeem your points for gift cards or account credits. For more details, read the Rewards and Redemption terms and conditions.

Aspire Travel® Platinum Mastercard®

You’ll earn 1 reward mile per dollar on all net purchases. For more details, read the Rewards and Redemption terms and conditions.

Aspire Cash® Platinum Mastercard®

Transactions that won’t earn you rewards

Cash advances and balance transfers aren’t considered purchases and won’t earn cash or travel rewards. Similarly, cash-like transactions such as wire transfers, money orders, and purchases of lottery tickets, gaming chips or bets at casinos also won’t earn rewards.
