How to Provide Security Funds for Your Secured Card

It's easy to send in your security funds.

  1. Sign in to your bank’s online banking service.
  2. Add Capital One Security Funds as a new payee using your 16-digit reference number as your account number.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete sending in your funds.

Please note:

  • The Capital One Security Funds payee and reference number is only for sending in your security funds. You will need to set up a separate payee to pay down your balance after you receive your card. For more information, see How to Make a Payment to Your Capital One Mastercard. 
  • Your reference number is not the same as your account number. Your unique reference number can be found at the top of your approval letter or email. If you don’t have your reference number, visit our Contact Us page to get in touch with a live agent.
