How to add or remove authorized users

After your account is opened, you can add authorized users at no extra charge through your online banking account.

Things to know

• Authorized users must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence.
• Authorized users will receive their own card and can make purchases and take cash advances in the same manner as you. However, as the primary cardholder, you’re responsible for repaying any charges an authorized user makes on your account, including any associated interest and fees.
• You can add up to five authorized users to your account.

Add an authorized user

1. Sign in to online banking. 
2. Select View Account.
3. Select More Account Services from the taskbar.
4. Under the Control Your Card section, select Add an authorized user.
5. Enter the authorized user’s details.
6. Read and accept the terms and conditions.
7. Select Add User.

Remove an authorized user

1. Sign in to online banking. 
2. Select View Account.
3. Select More Account Services from the taskbar.
4. Under the Control Your Card section, select Manage authorized users.
5. Select the user you want to remove and select Remove Authorized User.
